“No need to leave town -- Waterdown's Finest is Izzy's!â€
We recently visited Izzy's for Valentine's Dinner.
Food & Drinks:
To start, we were served water...with a twist, it was infused with cucumber! What a refreshing treat.
Appetizer: The feel good, Bruschetta Charity Bread; which was simply scrumptious. A portion of the proceeds, goes to a local Waterdown charity; a very sweet touch indeed! The food was prepared with much attention to detail and was delivered promptly.
Wines: A extensive selection. So hard to decide. More on that later...
Mains: I had the Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken. I felt as though I had been transported back to Rome, the pasta and sauce was so fresh and absolutely had to be handmade. The chicken was generously portioned, grilled to perfection and sliced on top. My husband had the market Salmon, the special of the day. It too was very fresh and cooked to perfection. I'm not a huge fish fan myself, but it smelled amazing, I had to sneak a bite. Was not disappointed to say the least.
Service: Paul, was a true professional, he really has refined the craft of serving... a delight in every way. Our glasses were always full and we were never left needing or wanting anything!
Atmosphere/Entertainment: There was live music performed by Miles, a singer-songwriter-pianist. He was very talented and did a fantastic job.
The overall feel of the restaurant is intimate, artsy, comforting and peaceful.
A great spot to unwind after a long work week or a romantic dinner for two.
We will absolutely be back again!
