The Weekender is not just a ride, it is a comprehensive series of lessons where WagJaggers begin training to become a fully certified HPAC NOVICE-rated hang glider pilot. Each Weekender participant will receive an HPAC STUDENT rating certificate. The certificate shows that the participant has already flown solo, and has completed 25% of the flight and ground training necessary to be a Novice Rated Pilot, able to go flying anywhere in the world, totally solo.

For participants who have not purchased the previous $99 SkyRide WagJag, then their two flying lessons will include the 2000' Ultralight Hang Glider SkyRide, plus one solo flying lesson and one ground school lecture. Those who have already purchased the SkyRide deal will be an extra lesson ahead (that's 35% through the training program), and receive two solo flying lessons and one ground school lecture any time after they redeem their SkyRide voucher - even on the same day.

During every solo flying lesson, each participant gets at least 5-10 solo flights, so that, eventually, you'll be capable of foot-launching a hang glider and flying it solo at a safe altitude of just 5-10 feet off the ground, then gently rolling in to a smooth landing on the wheels. Students learn at their own pace and comfort level, so each flight's duration will be a few seconds at first, and then increase up to one minute for each flight, at a slow, confidence-building 8-10 miles per hour.

Whether or not you already purchased the introductory SkyRide WagJag last month, this package will be individually tailored so that you can continue your training on your way to becoming a fully certified pilot. Record it all in the log book you receive as a part of the deal, and leave that thing lying around so people will ask you about your new identity as a pilot.
