The Easter Bunny's life may seem like it's all fun and games, but in reality, the 364 days of the year he's not hiding eggs the rabbit works a high-stress job planting wires and hidden cameras for the CIA. The Easter Bunny, or as his colleagues call him, Dwayne, recently told our WagJag moles that he likes using his concealment skills to fight crime, but much prefers using them to entertain children with egg hunts instead – it's a much more relaxing gig. Today's WagJag will bring both your family and Dwayne the ultimate enjoyment this Easter: for $30, you get a 4-person family pass to Centre Island's EGGstravaganza, regularly valued at $68.
EGGstravaganza is Toronto's biggest and longest Easter egg hunt, taking place for three days at Centre Island. Round up your fam of four and visit the event April 22, 23 and 24 anytime from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Young WagJaggers can celebrate Easter by hanging out with chickens and horses at the petting zoo, getting their faces painted, jumping in bouncy castles or painting pictures of eggs on the Easter Alley pathway. "Centreville" rides, like the train, Bumble Bees or the Rockin' Ferry are also open each day of the event.
But what would an EGGstravaganza be without the EGG hunt? The Ultimate Easter Egg Scramble happens each day at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Kids are split into age groups (seven and under, eight and over) and set lose to find their fill of chocolate-covered ovals. They can bring their own egg-collecting apparati, or design a basket beforehand at the Cystic Fibrosis decorating tent.
Please note that not all Centreville rides will be open for the event.
